I just finished a paper.
That’s the last line.
I’m quite sleep deprived, so it’s either quite profound or incredibly far-fetched.
Either way, I can’t tell…

Reality of my morning:
Ideal: Wake up early and work on paper in morning so I can spend afternoon on studio project.
Reality: Wake up early, spend morning watching Ted Talks.

Tomorrow is Friday already???
I’ve been pulling 18 hour days, during reading week, and I’ve still got so much more work to get done before Monday.
(Mind you, I’ve already redesigned a house twice, among other things. But I still have papers to write and Egyptian Hieroglyphs to translate.)
What fresh hell is this?

A profound and obvious theory revelation
I’ve decided that it is more common/acceptable for a white male to engage in a relationship with a non white female than vice versa because males are dominant in our society and therefore, to become involved with a woman of “subjugate race” (as termed by Edward Said) is to show domination over; which is in tune with orientalist ideology.
Whereas for a white woman to become involved with a non...

My reading week trip plans have been foiled due to unfortunate circumstances which would be that Royal Caribbean does not allow passengers under the age of 21 to travel alone.
Nether do Princess, Carnival, Disney, NCL or MSC…
I think it’s time for me to make friends with someone with a yacht.

Postcolonial Theory
I’m still waitlisted for Postcolonial and Transnational Discourses.
I’ve moved up ONE spot since the first class. Only ONE person has dropped postcolonial theory since the first lecture.
Seriously, how many people are actually that legit-ly interested in learning postcolonial theory anyways?
Topics touched in first lecture:
How does “nation” differ from...
Resolutions 2012
1. Cut back credit card spending to <$300/mo.
2. Get a new job
3. Get back into working out; at least twice a week to start with
And there’s a fourth resolution, but it’s already in progress and implied and simply writing it down would be a violation of it.

Mice
There is an annoying problem that I can only assume most design professionals of the 21st century have faced at some point in their lives; how to find a good drafting mouse. Of course, the best architects’ mice would be sensitive, stylish, ergonomic and mac-friendly. Unfortunately, sensitive and ergonomic mice are all gaming mice: unstylish and primarily for PC.
Being tired of using old...

I bought the Magic Mouse today;
And I’ve decided that it’s not a very good mouse…
But then again, every mouse I’ve used in the last several years has been a gaming mouse passed on to me by my avid gamer of a brother and have had dpi’s of almost 6000… The 1300dpi of the Magic Mouse just doesn’t cut it.
Other than the cool swiping gesture capabilities, I am unimpressed by its...

"Indignantly Ignorant"
Those are the words that I came up with. They are good words.
